Are there any zombie movies that I missed in my list? Which movies would you include? What are your top films?

Original Nazi Zombie Movie

Imagine Nazi Zombies wearing goggles lumbering out of the ocean at sunset. Visitors to a remote island discover that a reclusive Nazi commandant (Peter Cushing) has been breeding a group of Zombie soldiers.

Norwegian Class

Hey, Kudos for rating Dead Snow so highly. As a zombie movie enthusiast I found it to be a great flick, and a wonderful surprise, considering it is so little known. A shame, because it's a terrific flick. Like all good zombie movies it borrows from it's predecessors and throws in some new ideas and originality of it's own. In any case............NAZI Zombies!!!!! It was a winner before you even see a frame.

Yes, but...

There are some good recommendations here. Thanks! However, Flight of the Living Dead was, in my opinion, utterly dreadful! And not entertainingly bad either; just plain bad.

Not Bad

I agree with Dawn of the Dead (2004) as #1- best zombie film ever made. but, i wouldn't classify Resident Evil or Quarantine as zombie movies persay... although Resident Evil is pretty badass- quarantine wasn't so badass however...

YOU MISSED 3 OTHER GREAT ZOMBIE FILMS

DAY OF THE DEAD 2: CONTAGIUM PLANET TERROR DAY OF THE DEAD: NEED TO FEED THESE WERE MUCH BETTER THAN CHOICES 3-30

Night of the Living Dead 1968

Low budget details of no major stars and black and white, grainy filming made it even more "believable". Simply THE BEST zombie flick made.

Favorite zombie film

My favorite is "Dead Alive", craziest film I've ever seen, and it also has one of my favorite lines from a horror film, when the girl says "Your mother _ _ _!" (I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasnt seen it.)

Brains!

Really? No Re-Animator? I personally think Beyond Re-Animator was the best of the trilogy but you sometimes have to give the nod to the original for breaking new ground. At first I was amazed to see that you had a list of 30 zombie films but as I went over my own films I realized how big the category really is when you give the definition of zombie a little wiggle room. Glad also to see Land of the Dead on your list. Although it put Romero under a 'commercial' microscope which is perhaps not where he excels, the movie was by and large a good time. I could happily give it repeated viewings in short order. Flight of the Living Dead was also a great addition to the list, which I owe you a debt of gratitude for recommending.

hehe, response title :)

The list isn't too bad, i'm quite a zombie enthusiast myself, personally; Dawn of the dead (Remake)is an excellent film but my favourite would have to be 28 days later, although some may argue that its not a true zombie flick i would still slot it into this category, the old school Dawn of the dead is also brilliant, however i wasn't too big on the original Day of the dead

Great set of films

Wish I'd have found this earlier, great set of zombie films to work my way through. Can't agree more with that point you made about the new Dawn of the Dead revamping a classic. Thanks
