The Skinny
- Acting: C- (The cast does what it can with the corny script, but eventually they seem to go dead behind the eyes.)
- Direction: C- (Fleeting moments of exhilarating action are outmuscled by an overdose of flashbacks and the general feel of a clumsy TV cop show.)
- Script: D- (Tries to bury its derivative nature in mounds of snow.)
- Gore/Effects: C (Digital snow and airplane effects feel too unreal.)
- Overall: C- (A pedestrian, predictable mystery that drags out every tired cliche.)
Whiteout is directed by Dominic Sena and is rated R by the MPAA for violence, grisly images, brief strong language and some nudity. Release date: Sepember 11, 2009.
