The Skinny
- Acting: D+ (Hammy script = hammy acting.)
- Direction: C- (Aja can deliver gore, but little more.)
- Script: D- (Ridiculous and bloated, from the overall plot to the heavy-handed dialogue.)
- Gore/Effects: B- (The gore scenes are impressive but overdone, as if to slap a fresh coat of bloody paint over this mess of a movie.)
- Overall: D+ (Apart from a couple of fleeting moments, this is one of the worst Asian horror adaptations so far and one of the worst theatrical horror releases of 2008.)
Mirrors is directed by Alexandre Aja and is rated R for strong violence, disturbing images, language and brief nudity. Opening date: August 15, 2008.
