The Skinny
- Acting: B- (Cottle excels with a decent supporting cast.)
- Direction: A- (Beautiful imagery, from the natural scenery to the surreal dreams -- the latter so striking that you wish they'd actually stay on screen longer.)
- Script: C+ (Intelligent and uncompromising but not inclusive of Lovecraft nubies, and some scene transitions are confusing -- although that might be more of an editing issue.)
- Gore/Effects: C+ (Understandably selective in its use of special effects, due to budgetary constraints.)
- Overall: B- (A great accomplishment, given the budget.)
Cthulhu is directed by Dan Gildark and is rated R for language, some sexuality, nudity and violence. Opening date: August 22, 2008.
