As a child of the '80s, I know from first-hand experience that a lot of the decade's pop culture was awesomely bad, and video cassette cover art was no exception. The VHS format exploded during the '80s, and within the horror genre, the impact was particularly great, with every Tom, Dick and Harry putting out cheaply copied videos with even cheaper artwork. Here are some of the best of the worst. Some are older -- borderline classic -- movies that were repackaged for VHS release, while others are long-forgotten '80s cheapies whose legacy is little more than this awful, awful cover art.
