Legendary director
David Cronenberg, who cut his teeth in the 'biz on an unprecedented string of startlingly innovative horror films --
Rabid,
Shivers,
The Brood,
Scanners,
Videodrome,
The Dead Zone,
The Fly -- has become "legitimate" of late with critical successes like
A History of Violence and
Eastern Promises. It's been 20-plus years since his last horror outing, and I say it's high time he returns for at least one more -- particularly with
Spiderman's Sam Raimi returning to the fold with
Drag Me to Hell and possibly a remake of his own
The Evil Dead. Heck, Cronenberg could even do one of the
Twilight movies; I'd still watch it.
