Movie Location: The Overlook Hotel, located in the Rocky Mountains, 40 miles west of Sidewinder, Colorado. Writer Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson) takes a job as winter caretaker but soon becomes influenced by malevolent forces in the building instructing him to kill his family.
