Premise: Meet Mick St. John (Alex O'Loughlin). He's a vampire. He's a private detective. And he has great hair. Oddly, he's decided to live in one of the sunniest places in America: Los Angeles. (Apparently, sunlight doesn't kill vampires; it just makes them tired.) Mick's a night walker with a heart of gold, refusing to drink blood from live victims and working as an altruistic P.I. to help make up for "what he is." Unfortunately, his heart is a bit too golden, as he finds himself falling for a mortal TV reporter named Beth (Sophia Myles).
