Summary: Screamfest was formed in August 2001 by film producers Rachel Belofsky and Ross Martin in order to give horror and science fiction directors and writers a venue to have their work showcased to people in the industry. It annually gives awards to the entries, including Best Actor and Actress, Best Director, Best Picture and Best Special Effects. Its advisory board has included horror luminaries like Stan Winston, Wes Craven, John Landis and Sam Raimi.
