Intro: Season 3 finds Dexter plunged into turmoil when his attempted murder of drug dealer Freebo ends in the death of the brother of District Attorney Miguel Prado. When Freebo is blamed and goes on the lam, Dexter is placed in the awkward position of working on a case in which he is the culprit. Things get weirder, though, when Prado catches Dexter in a compromising position, leading to an unlikely partnership that initially seems viable but eventually disintegrates, with deadly consequences. Meanwhile, Rita becomes pregnant, and Dexter must struggle with the concept of becoming a family man.
