Hellboy II puts the smack down in theaters, while The Ruins leads the way on DVD.
Jekyll
In this modern take on the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde story, Jekyll creates madman Hyde using his computer. Someone's gonna get his MySpace account suspended!
The Key
A group of friends searching for buried treasure in a supposedly haunted house unwittingly unleash a demon. I'm sure they live happily ever after.
The Mummy: Special Edition
As the latest edition of the Mummy series prepares to hit the screen, see where it all started with this 1932 black-and-white classic starring Boris Karloff, featuring new commentary tracks and documentaries.
The Mummy: 2-Disc Deluxe Edition
It's more action than horror, but this reincarnation of the legendary mummy films provides plenty of thrills and some laughs to boot. This deluxe edition sports a load of special features, including new featurettes.
Philosophy of a Knife
Quite possible the goriest movie ever made, Russia's Philosophy of a Knife is a part documentary, part feature film that runs over four hours in length and documents in shocking detail the gruesome true-life experiments conducted in World War II by the Japanese Unit 731 on Russian and Chinese prisoners. See it on an empty stomach.
The Ruins
A group of friends vacationing in Mexico visit an archeological dig and stumble upon an ancient Mayan temple that is inhabited by parasitic vines.
Survive This!
An reality show on a tropical island turns into a bloodbath when zombies invade. If only all reality shows ended like that.
Van Helsing: Special Edition
For some reason, Universal feels that releasing a special edition DVD of Van Helsing will pique interest in the new Mummy film. Granted, Van Helsing was directed by Stephen Sommers, who helmed the first two Mummy pics, but he also did The Adventures of Huck Finn, and I don't see them releasing a two-disc deluxe version of that.
