'Tis the season to get romantic...even for horror movie fans. Luckily, between the zombies of Warm Bodies (playing now) and the witches of Beautiful Creatures (opening February 14), you can get your fill of genre tropes along with the standard "chick flick" deliverables. And frankly, both films manage the balancing act quite well -- Beautiful Creatures in particular shining as a smart and surprisingly funny hybrid. Read about it in my review of Beautiful Creatures.
