Add the classic short story "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" to the list of high-profile horror adaptations (including Psycho, Dracula, Hannibal Lecter, Hellraiser, The Munsters and Dr. Jeklyll and Mr. Hyde) possibly headed to your TV screen over the next year or so. The ghostly 1820 tale by Washington Irving has been adapted for film and television numerous times -- the most notable recent version being Tim Burton's 1999 horror comedy Sleepy Hollow -- but unlike most previous versions, Fox has reportedly ordered a pilot based on the story that takes place in the present day. If you're feeling apprehensive about the concept -- Will the Headless Horseman now be a Headless Segway Man? -- maybe the fact that Fringe co-creators Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Ocri are the brains behind the operation will help ease your fears.
