It wasn't a huge hit back in 2003, but Wrong Turn has struck enough of a chord with fans -- or at least, with 20th Century Fox -- to generate a seemingly never-ending franchise that will witness a fifth entry going straight to video later this year (date TBD). Here's a peek at the movie poster for Wrong Turn 5: Bloodbath, a second prequel to the original film (meaning all three mutant brothers will return), whose plot is as follows:
A small West Virginia town is hosting the legendary Mountain Man Festival on Halloween, where throngs of costumed partygoers gather for a wild night of music and mischief. But an inbred family of hillbilly cannibals kill the fun when they trick and treat themselves to a group of visiting college students who are dying for a good time.
Let's hope Wrong Turn 5 reverses the downward trend, quality-wise, of the first four films in the series, although seeing as how it's directed by the same guy (Declan O'Brien) who did parts 3 and 4 (not to mention -- yikes -- Sharktopus), I'm not terribly optimistic.

I’m a fan of this series and I can’t explain why. But the 4th one wasn’t that bad compared to the 3rd. They might be B horror but they are still a blast
