Some notable new DVD release dates for early 2010:
February 2:
- Circle of Eight: A movie that aired online as a web series about a young woman whose new apartment building holds deadly secrets.
- Triangle: Melissa George stars as one of a group of passengers on a boat ride through the Bermuda Triangle who fall prey to a mysterious figure out to kill them all.
February 9:
- The Stepfather: Tepid remake of the '80s thriller about a murderous stepdad.
February 16:
- The Caretaker: Jennifer Tilly and Judd Nelson are featured in this tale of teens who sneak into an orchard to catch a glimpse of the reclusive caretaker, only to get more than they bargained for.
- Hellhounds: The latest in the Maneater series of SyFy fodder (directed by Rick Schroder!) about a Greek warrior who travels to Hades to rescue his love from hellish dogs.
- Phantom Racer: More SyFy fare about a possessed race car whose undead driver seeks bloody revenge on his rival (Greg Evigan).
February 23:
- Open Graves: Eliza Dushku stars in a tale of young people playing a board game that spells death for its players. Jumanji is for sissies.
- Sorority Row: Remake of the relatively obscure slasher House on Sorority Row about a killer stalking sorority sisters who accidentally killed one of their own months earlier.
March 9:
- Tremors: The Complete Series: The short-lived SyFy TV show based on the movie about underground worm monsters who terrorize a small desert town.
March 16:
- Smash Cut: David Hess (the original Last House on the Left) stars as a horror movie director who decides to spice up his film with real deaths.
March 30:
- I Sell the Dead: Dominic Monaghan (Lost) and Ron Perlman (Hellboy) star in the tale of grave robbers who battle undead supernatural beings.
April 6:
- Piranha: Just in time for the release of the 3-D remake, the 1978 original killer fish story gets a re-release.
