Blade Spin-Off: Worst Idea Ever?

As much as I enjoyed the first Blade movie, I've always thought that the villain, Frost (as portrayed by Stephen Dorff), was the major weak spot. He was basically a diminutive, spoiled brat whose only skill was backstabbing. So, imagine my dismay when word spread that Dorff and Blade director Stephen Norrington (seemingly in exile after the 2003 bomb The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen) are working on not only a Frost spin-off movie, but a Frost spin-off TRILOGY. Given the lack of industry power between those two, I can't imagine these films would ever receive a major theatrical release, if they even get made at all.
