Predator Reboot Confirmed!

As was rumored in January, Robert Rodriquez is producing a "reboot" of the Predator franchise, with a film entitled simply Predators -- implying more than one creature. However, not only is he producing and writing it, but according to IESB.net, he's also directing it! Granted, it's still very early in the process -- and since Rodriguez also has the long-awaited Machete (based on a trailer from Grindhouse), a sci-fi film called Nervewrackers, plus Sin City 2 and 3 and...The Jetsons (?) on his slate, he could easily turn over the reins of Predators to another director. I, for one, hope he does, since it's hard to imagine him subverting his over-the-top style enough to do a "reboot" (Why not just call it a sequel?) justice.
