Kristen Stewart and
Robert Pattinson in
Twilight.

It won't be released until next week, but Summit Entertainment is already banking on
Twilight's success -- so much so that it has bought the rights to the other three books in the young adult vampire series and has commissioned
Twilight screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg (also a writer for
Dexter) to write the next two scripts,
New Moon and
Eclipse. Presumably they'll focus on those two films before moving on to the fourth and final (so far) book,
Breaking Dawn. No doubt author Stephenie Meyer will keep typing up new entries in the series until either her arms fall off or she becomes J.K. Rowling-rich.
