Angel Heart Remake in the Works?

According to Variety, a group is developing a remake of the great 1987 voodoo-themed murder mystery Angel Heart, which starred Mickey Rourke and Robert DeNiro. One of the group, Michael DeLuca, has produced such genre fare as Blade 1 and 2, Lost Souls, In the Mouth of Madness, Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare and The Lawnmower Man (the last three of which he also wrote), so he's at least familar with what horror fans want. Hopefully.
