Adam Sandler, Master of Horror?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, comedian Adam Sandler is starting a new horror-themed branch of his production company Happy Madison, deemed Scary Madison. The first project, scheduled to begin production next month, is called The Shortcut and follows two brothers who move to a new town and discover a shortcut that hides very bad things. While Happy Madison has struck gold with movies starring Sandler, it's had less success with films like Joe Dirt, The Benchwarmers and Strange Wilderness. That doesn't bode well for The Shortcut, which will be directed by Nicholaus Goosen, who made the Happy Madison bomb Grandma's Boy.
