On DVD, two of the bigger independent horror releases of the year so far -- Funny Games and The Signal -- hope to make a bigger splash than they did at the box office. The Signal in particular is not to be missed; when all is said and done, it might be the best horror release of the year.

I do want to see this one but am starting to believe that Night is getting very close to three strikes.
Yup, and a high school science teacher at that — not one of those elementary school science teachers who just makes you memorize the names of the planets.
As for M. Night, even when he misfires, I tend to appreciate his efforts. He tries to be original, which I commend. We’ll see with this one, though…
