Some juicy new DVD release dates, from theatrical flms to TV shows to straight-to-video sequels:

July 8:

• Death of a Ghost Hunter: A supposedly real-life account of a ghost hunter who was offered $5,000 to conduct a three-day paranormal investigation of a house in which a family was brutally murdered.
• The Ruins: Maybe it would've had more success if it had been titled Killer Mexican Mutant Plants from the Yucatan.

• Baby Blues: A 10-year-old boy must protect his younger siblings from his mother when she suffers a postpartum psychotic breakdown.
• The Hive: Continuing with the Sci Fi Channel/RHI Entertainment film series dubbed "Maneater," this time the animal culprit killing off helpless humans is ants -- and not normal ants, but super smart ants controlled by an alien force. Raid won't cut it this time.

• Supernatural: The Complete Third Season: Relive the cliffhanger ending to last season before Season 4 begins. Who knows, maybe it'll be different.

• The Cell 2: This sequel to the picturesque Jennifer Lopez vehicle from a few years back is going straight to DVD. Read into that what you will. The plot seems like a rehash the original: a psychic investigator delves into the mind of a serial killer to save his latest victim.
