Reaper, Moonlight Renewals Look Promising

According to The Hollywood Reporter, both Reaper (pictured) and Moonlight have good odds of being renewed for next season. Although both have suffered poor ratings, they benefit from an overall slump in the wake of the writers' strike. Moonlight consistently wins its time slot against weak competition, and Reaper is, interestingly, one of the most DVR-recorded shows.

It's already a given that Supernatural, Dexter, Ghost Whisperer and Medium are coming back, and with the thinly veiled Masters of Horror extension Fear Itself premiering next month, plus the new Sam Raimi-produced horror reality show 13 coming this summer, things are looking bright for TV horror (even more so if you count the return of America's Got Talent...shudder).
