Uwe Boll to Stop Directing?

That's what will happen if the signers of this petition get their way (Sorry to get your hopes up.). So far, they've got 200,000-plus signatures and counting. A random sampling of comments exemplifies the unparalleled hatred that Boll instills in people:
- Comment #87: "Uwe Boll killed my baby :("
- Comment #199837: "Run into a knife."
- Comment #3: "If I bought a DVD of a Uwe Boll film and opened the box to find that, instead of the expected plastic disc, I had unleashed an endless wave of flesh eating parasitic insects who dived straight for my face, it would be slightly better value for money than seeing Alone in the Dark or House of the Dead. If any of the actors of said films had a shred of decency they would have hired a hit on him."
I would feel sorry for the delusional and talent-challenged Boll if he weren't such a tool.

I signed it. Did he say he’d stop if they got a certain # of votes?
Sadly, no. But maybe, just maybe, he’ll take the hint.

What the petition will do is show him just how awful a director he is as well as send a message to the studios that hire him, NOT to hire him. EVERYONE and his brother are aware of this petition so it IS being watched. If I were a studio and saw the results of this petition, I wouldnt hire him
Actually, according to a British newspaper, he implied that he would retire if it got 1 million signatures, but I wouldn’t count on that. The thing working against all of these non-fans is that German tax laws make it easy for him to find financing — even if his movies continue to bomb. Darn.
