Touting itself as "the world's first online horror festival," the first (annual?) Insomnifest began this week with a great premise: streaming a horror movie a day online for two weeks. Viewers pay per movie ($4.99) and can choose to see as many or as few as they like. The selection of films is truly "fest-worthy": a mix of foreign and domestic independent horror, none of which is available on DVD in the US yet. Although it's already halfway through, you can still catch intriguing titles like Backwoods Bloodbath and Gutterballs until February 24.
